Woorim, located on the south-eastern tip of Moreton Island, is the closest patrolled surf beach to the Centre of Bisbane. It hosts regular surf carnivals and is popular for body-surfers, windsurfers and board riders. Jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, general boating and water skiing are also very popular in the sheltered waters of the Pumicestone Passage. The Spinnaker Sound Marina, close to Bribie Bridge, provides a safe harbour for yachts and larger cruisers and has a fully licensed restaurant. Snorkeling and scuba diving are very popular in the Flinders Reef area and other spots around the island, with several wreck dives available. Bribie Island and Pumicestone Passage are renowned for fishing, including catching mud and sands crabs in pots. This is a wonderful spot for a holiday or a day-trip visit from Brisbane.
