Wudinna is a small rural town on the Eyre Peninsula servicing wheat and sheep farms located about 255 km from Port Augusta and 570 km from Adelaide. Wudinna lies in the centre of a granite belt area, and there are a several interesting granite outcrops in the area, including Mt Wudinna which is 260 m high and can be climbed, Corrobinnie Hill, a famous picnic spot which is only accessible by 4WD, Ucontitchie Hill, with its unique weathering patterns and Polda Rock, with a walking trail around its base. Wudinna is also one of the gateways to the magnificent Gawler Ranges National Park, which is located about 40 km north of Wudinna, and features a rough and unique landscape, with gorges, rock formations, and waterfalls. The fascinating Gawler Ranges Cultural Centre in Wudinna has a unique collection focused on the Gawler Ranges.
