When the sea is flat there is excellent snorkelling and scuba diving around the rocks of Point Arkwright. The surf at Yaroomba can be very powerful as it is formed by the reefs just off the beach. There is excellent fishing off the beach during the winter months with good catches of tailor, bream, dart and flathead. There is an excellent bushwalking along the dirt track that runs a kilometre along the top of Point Arkwright, that features excellent scenery.
