The town has remained largely unchanged since 1910 and still has its historical shop fronts with wide verandahs. There are 18 heritage listed buildings in Yungaburra, which is the largest National Trust village in Queensland. There are cafes, restaurants, country pubs, art galleries and craft shops to explore and a variety of places to stay. There are many natural attractions in the region surrounding Yungaburra including rolling green hills, volcanic crater lakes and other remnants of the volcanic origins, waterfalls, gorges and rivers, and rainforests. There are great walking tracks and excellent lookouts.
